I am also experimenting with color schemes and rendering faces now. Don’t know what to do really, rendering is like a deep dark forest for me every time

Lots of great ideas in this thread about lighting and design schemes. I'll just add that both of these can help set the tone for each scene, and show transition between scenes. If you're not sure of colors, you can color normally and add color filters/layers.

Thank you for this! I’m Meg, and I love bright colour schemes and fantasy! I’m also going to be posting a b&w piece (ik, shocker!) at 10 gmt so maybe keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested??

So I was mocking up colour schemes for that 'Slixie' piece I teased a while back, and slapped the mock up atop the roughed lineart.

And I started editting it a little.

And it got... well, *ahem*... interesting.

(Now if you don't mind me; I'll be in my box of shame.)

Hey, i'm done storyboarding the sirfluff's ghost meme with a new oc that's both dead & alive. But I'm still gonna figure out what color scheme I should use, so I made this character with 3 different color schemes that I like. Which style do you prefer me to use.

Y'all why hasn't anyone mentioned that Jack Manifold's character is literally every Professor Layton villain? He literally blasts Huge Weapon or Don Paolo's theme every time he schemes, it's actually perfect.

Do I ever design anything with the thought I have to redraw it again later??

The answer is no. I never make it easy for myself.

Also ignore the sloppy flat coloring I was just trying to figure out color schemes LAUGHS...

oh, the hashtag is a thing again?
many of my works have surprisingly similar colour schemes, I wonder why.

Did an inking/coloring study using 's pencil work as a jump off point. Exercises like this give me an opportunity to just play around with alternate colors schemes, something I don't do enough of.
