Mascot backgrounds are an interesting case.

Dialogue and art confirm that mascots hand out small photographs of themselves, then sign them (much like real-life signings).

How these end up as backdrops for player card photographs is currently unclear.

Low poly modeling in Blender is great for blocking out backgrounds or figure out how to foreshorten something. Example; the mountains here started off as a flat, low poly "sheet" that was shaped with proportional editing. This helped to block out both the basic shape and shading. https://t.co/7cn75cYYzy
