A small detail that I love about this is that after some research, Gideon’s tattoo is supposed to be a Maori tattoo pattern called the “Pakati” (Dog Skin Cloak) which is representative of warriors/battles/courage/strength. I think it suits her.

In Tamsyn’s interview where she discusses how Gideon and Harrow are both inspired by indigenous people of New Zealand, I wanted to honor that in their skin tones & gideon’s tribal tattoo. I did some research, and I hope I did this wonderful series some justice in my portrayal.
