Mushoku Tensei creator Maganote-sensei officially confirmed his plans for a sequel story of the series depending on when the anime adaptation's duration eventually ends, give or take 8 years or so. It'll be set 80 years after Mushoku Tensei.

It seems like the author will write a sequel to Mushoku Tensei after the anime and Orc novel is over. The sequel will be set 80 years after the main story, but it will not be a direct sequel since Rudeus' story is over. Probably a spin-off sequel
