Did my best to rework the new Dark Queen. Even a modest amount of skin adds some character.

Dark Queen Art by Nauyaco
Main reason why I throw so much shade when Media gets toned down, especially Remakes/Reboots, If the makers of Battletoads were willing to go this far to Nerf DQ, what other elements did they think were "problematic"? I don't want a nerfed game.

Honest thoughts about Battletoads:

I understand the reason for changing Dark Queen's design, But they went too far in one direction and she looks like PBS character.

There HAS to be some kind of middle-ground between the two here they could have gone with

Imma be real, I'm ok with Battletoads New Designs, as long as gameplay ain't ass, IDGAF! I know most of y'all don't really like Dark Queen's new look, but make it work XD Y'all don't have imaginations lol? Major Dr. Ghastly's design works for her to be Thicc soooo....

Case in point: the design of the Dark Queen in the new Battletoads reboot. I'll let the images speak for themselves.

After watching the new Battletoads trailer, which I'm still willing to give it a shot, I decided to try my hand at a Dark Queen design (since it's now national law to hate her design in the new game lol)

so i created a Toad OC (maybe i will be drawing David and him soon...m a y b e)
but for context, he wants to show all Toads that HE'S the captain and not the ''real''(?) Captain Toad that we all know
confusing? kinda-

Even the Deadly 6 in Lost World, as stereotypical & bleh as they were, had different designs. They each had their own "personalities", You could tell them apart & each did their own thing in the story.

Imagine if the Deadly Six was just 6 Toads, like in the pic. That's my point.

Odyssey was a godsend. But even then, If they don't want to create entirely new characters or species, I'm still wondering what happened to these guys. There's more to the Mario universe than toads, and even then - I remember when Toads used to be more distinct and varied.

Whoa, thanks for the tag! I’m Kieran and I love designing characters and tweeting about cool animals. I’m a complete dork and talk way too much about toads. https://t.co/IgvtLZ1SWG
