I am a member of the Tiki squad, but I love Tiki! She’s adorable, tragic, and very mature. But not too mature so she’s still fun. Another obvious choice is Hilda for me. I love her lazy and semi-demanding nature. It adds to her development to become more open and willing to fight

...terrible fate that awaits Warren as the issue–and this first era of X-Factor–come to their tragic close.

These early days of X-Factor have encouraged the question: what is the cost of refusing to grow up?

Evidently, for Warren, it costs everything.

...Xavier's perfect solider.

While the X-Factor wards state, rather than merely imply, criticism of the O5's veneration of Xavier's teachings, Rusty's appreciation of Scott's "sacrifice" for their education marks them as tragic inheritors of that same failing pedagogy.

Neal Adams defined the 70's and beyond for many DC characters, helping to ground them in an era that saw a return to more melodramatic and tragic storytelling in contrast to the constant camp of the 60's.

A true legend. Rest in Peace.

I think what makes Shadow the Hedgehog such an entertaining character is that the games give him a really tragic backstory, and everything about his characterization leans into, ahem, edge, but he's a tiny 3ft tall hedgehog that looks ridiculous standing next to people.

Antoinette fails as a Queen for having too strong naive ideals and wishing to be there as mother for her kids. A tragic fate for her.
Story wise tho, I really enjoyed the petty royal drama of the first half it was a great soap opera

Verinen was the first character i truly played in a d&d game (of course bloodborne based) Shes my oldest in playtime and age and has the most fleshed out lore of any of my OC's. She even comes complete with a semi illustrated tragic backstory
you may have a snippet as a treat❤️‍🔥

I'm reading it now. She seems interesting so far. Dunno if she's on Shadow's level, but there does seem to be a hint of a potentially-tragic backstory. The design's cool, at least!

One thing I love about Starscream is the flexibility he has as a character, he can either be comic relief, a comic relief and badass simultaneously, a genuinely intimidating villain, and a villain who later becomes a tragic anti-hero who is able to find redemption

I recently read Charles Mckay's Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds, first published in 1841 yet tragically relevant to our times. His account of witch mania inspired MALEFICARUM, my new collection of work about the past and present victims of moral panic.
