We had surprise visits from Norman Rockwell models Mary Immem Hall and Byron Breese, who shared their experiences with enthusiastic visitors. Mary was the little girl in A Scout is Helpful, among others, and Byron posed for The Spirit of ‘76 and other Scout images.

“The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” story predicted the “green” wind movement 118 years ago by showing how visitors to the Emerald City were required to wear green-colored glasses to see how green everything seemed. Similar glasses are handed out every time a new wind turbine is built.
