I think it has a harder time with smiley/smaller eyes - which makes sense, a lot of Snapchat/IG filters get confused by the same thing (though this handled it a little better).

It was my first time making filters on my artwork. The pics below are without filter cause it makes it hard to see. I tried to go for a retro 80's anime style. I like the idea of him either actually being the rabbit on the moon or merely dreaming about reaching the moon someday.

biggie's mask is plain his face, and cassandra probably has the most reasoning with the fact the mask filters the rust in the badlands' air

DeSmuME is a pretty good emulator, you can upscale and add filters to the game so it looks better!
id recommend to add either the 2xSaI filter or the 2xBRZ by going in View > Magnification Filter :D
(heres 2 examples, first one is 2xBRZ and second one is 2xSaI)
