I guess I should have wrote rendering detail! the difference for me is like this pink paw compared to this painted paw, I like drawing the crisp lineart more than painting the details of the muscle and shadow, even if the pink one looks more detailed it's not really x)

A colour comic has some extra tools to play with; when I wanted to show magic glows in Chirault, I would just go some extra shading to the background to make sure the bright lights would show clearly. The darker the shadow, the brighter the light, etc
