Here's the first of my smol hugging challenge.
@MickeyMario64, you've been hugged! No matter the obstacles, do try your best and get up after the fall! We'll be right with you!
I've experimented with modes like multiply and gotta say this is one of my faves.
What's your #PokemonGPA? Since it's trending in Japan, I thought I'd share the idea with those in the English speaking community as well! Multiply your last GPA (0.00-4.00) by 222 and post your results with the hashtag!
@VenkaStarshine I like to do some point of light and dark? For my program I use an overlay and multiply layer if I want depth but am lazy
@tomboyDrive @BlenderNPR Interesting, the way you mixed the vectors. Thanks!
For my shader, I use the tangent node with the UV map as the controller, then a fresnel node. It gives me a horizontal line (UV-wise) that I multiply with my hair texture.
maybe this is common knowledge but I def didn't know this when I first started drawing lewds LOL but if you put a layer of multiply in a darker color (i usually do a brown red) onto an objection (usually a dick/dildo etc) and then slap ur highlights on top of that [1/2]
Sekarang set jadi multiply, pake aja warna dasar tapi agak lebih muda dikit kalo misalnya dirasa terlalu gelap, bikin bulet2 lagi kayak tadi, tapi agak besar dan ngikutin bentuk rambutnya abis itu diblur sedikit ujungnya, jangan semua diblur yaa
Drawing DBZ/S Gods of Destruction chibis. Also messing with contrasting layers and the multiply and overlay functions to see how they work xD

@PuellaUmeMagica this is the meat of it - a colored shadow layer in multiply with brighter color modulation on the shadow edges to hint at light diffusion, and a colored light layer in screen to add some backlight (in this case green from the background/environment)
4º Passo: E vamos de Shading né mores? Lembrando que eu fiz em camadas diferentes no modo Multiply, pra dar essa impressão de profundidade, vamo que vamo >:3
Sketching one of @tseu_tsumi's NPCs for #Vampiretherequiem/#godmachinechronicle game that finished a few days ago. (I'm also figuring out Multiply layers )
@SAStudioADHD I use this tip all the time. To make colored lineart easily color the lines a faded red, set the layer to multiply, duplicate the line layer, set to color burn. Lower the opacities of both and gaussian blur the copy to make the art look softer 👌
here's a ref for how i do my lighting ft. a sloppily drawn tank top! realized i got a LOT of compliments for how i do lighting when it's actually... kind of lazy... so here's my secrets! use any lighting/shading layer types you want, of course; this is just overlay & multiply
How I do hair for full illustrations
1 sketch
2 flat
3 multiply layer purple
4 highlights + tone curve editing
I decided to go with A buuuuuuut give the eyes a bit more of highlight :3
P.S. This is just a light sketch with one layer on "multiply" so I know it has a lot of mistakes @_@
How many years have a been doing digital art and only now do I finally understand what multiply does?
Anyway it's day 4.

step by step for painting the eyes ~
note: i kept the sketch as multiply layer on top of the skin layer up to step # 3
