What do you guys think of the Mermaid in The Mermaid's Quest being pink? For me, it reminds me of some types of coral & sea anemones, plus I think it avoids her looking too much like Ariel. Perhaps the pink tail could be contrasted with a blue upper body?

Lessons learned: Outpainting might not be necessary. Sketches of properly-sized leg-like objects would be fine. Decent hand/foot details are possible but rare.
