While the New 52 is trending, I have to say that I think one of the biggest mistakes Bat-editorial did was keeping Bette so far off the sidelines and not having her team-up with Babs. Seeing these two team-up and become friends would have been so interesting.

How is it only ONE Batgirl writer has only realized the potential here. I mean you could keep Babs as Oracle, but have her be Batgirl but in a mech suit to keep mobile.

Also thematically I like how because this look is debuting in the Nightwing book it suitably feels like Babs is going from her 'Robin' look (her Burnside costume) to her 'Nightwing' look (this new design).

She doesn't have the same need to reinvent herself that Dick did though.
