His original design literally started off as a clone of XDBat, just he had longer hair, different nose and the tip of his wings pointed up. His color palette is just the hue of XDBAT changed. Here's an example of them both in the same pic. 2/3

I love to track my process every now and then. Can't believe how much my style changed. Although, the big change from 2019 to 2020 is probably mainly bc I got a Cintiq and CSP then 🤔 Those definitely make a difference.

I was used to drawing Aven looking a lot uglier in the past so that has stuck with me for some time, mistakenly. But over time my idea of her changed. Now I feel like she properly reflects the cursed being she was meant to be.

Her face is also modeled after my favorite singer 😌
