I've loved this song for years, and I desperately needed to draw this.

Whether it’s Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart, or yes, even Smash Bros, we want to see Dixie Kong make her mark on more games. This isn’t the end for her, nor is it the end for us! Let’s never stop promoting our ponytail-twirlin’, elephant-riding, bubblegum-chewing champion!

I finished the DK series, but man, I really hope they add Dixie Kong and I have to go back and edit this. It'd be a pleasure. Anyway, you can buy prints, t-shirt, stickers, and more at https://t.co/CHDPLJMBlL Thanks for the love, everyone.

The earliest known render of Dixie Kong is this piece, created to promote Donkey Kong Country 2 in the months leading up to its release. Note the lack of pre-rendered fur. This is the only render of Dixie crafted with the original DKC-style clay-like fur texture.
