Plus, this had a bit more 'acting' on top of the usual 'mechanical' animations!

I guess I can add on to the addendum here by pointing out that this technique also works great for editing frames. I find it to be a bit simpler sometimes than essentially just editing pixel-by-pixel.
Just try to not get too detailed with your drawings to avoid a mess of pixels.
