wanted to redraw that one beach drawing from last year but i didnt feel like making proper outlines so i colored over the sketch layer and called it a day

And yes, I've heard the comparisons with SMRPG and DKC

One thing you'll notice in those games is how smaller the palette is for them, so they look super detailed without looking antia-aliased

As well as the lack of outlines that make them blend better with the background (2/3)

i need a different solution for lineart, cuz the way i do it kinda holds me back, and im wondering about using this colored pencil shit for softer outlines. i think i need more tools for CSP. in any case, will help me as i experiment

I'll probably actually start using brushes other than a basic circle one from now.

Also experimenting with a style of realism that involves outlines. Will definitely be useful when teaching painting to those used to lineart.

Easily my best pieces so far. I have made the most progress this year in discovering an identity I want to stick to. I have decided that thick outlines and cel shading are things I feel a lot more comfortable about drawing.

透過ではなくて、黒になってるtexを入れてあげます！
手前味噌になりますが、この顔にはこんな感じのoutlinesamplerが入ってます〜
白黒の濃淡で線画の強弱が出せるので、イラストみたいなメリハリのある線画も出せますよ！もちろん目の周りなどの不要な線画を除去するのにもよく使います！
