I usually never do this, but… I got psychic damage from seeing the panel where Mireil mega evolves, because it’s so painfully obvious that I only figured out how to draw Mega Mawile after that panel. So I went and fixed it! (new panel and old panel for comparison)

That's the ridiculous part, this is often for head shapes more than the body... so I usually make a unique one completely tailored to the character's design.

I usually just start with a quick sketch, then out line em and color if I feel like it. Sometimes, I sketch over the first sketch to get more of a clear image of what I have in mind.
