I wanted to draw someone with two ponytails but they're not as fun to draw when they're sleek but I don't know enough characters who have fluffy/puffy/wavy ones? on the other hand I really like ayase and she's fun to draw in general.

shapes and edges are really important when doing character designs. Aura, the white ghorl, has sharp edges, a direct contrast to Sorem's curvy and wavy ones.

In my OC story, they're enemies with Aura being the villain!

Good stuff, Lae brought up what I was gonna say about the webs, my only other concern is the highlights, it kinda gives the appreance that the blade is wavy, which I would hope it's not, so I don't think they're needed.

For the Alpha-Male graphic novel I'm going with these balloons with the curvy and wavy lines instead of the classic direct triangle.

It's more work since they are all done by hand but feels way more natural.

The wavy ponytail one in the second set there comes from a "non-canon" comic Dominic had made about kids dealing with the quarantine.
She's only seen in the distance with minimal detail and has no color, so I had to improvise, but I really like what I came up with.
