@bracariii Practice helps a lot ! The first one is how a lot of my rough outlines look like where I just go by basic proportion #’s, the 2nd is a technique I learned in HS but hardly ever use, the third is the wacky outline that I ended up just freehanding on top cause it was clapped +
looks much better with the outlines super softened, almost not visible anymore

wanted to redraw that one beach drawing from last year but i didnt feel like making proper outlines so i colored over the sketch layer and called it a day

One thing you'll notice in those games is how smaller the palette is for them, so they look super detailed without looking antia-aliased
As well as the lack of outlines that make them blend better with the background (2/3)
