Little insight into my process, starting from a basic sketch and finishing with flat colours.

I tend to start off with a thick pen/brush and start sketching basic shapes and lines, refine the sketch even further, lock in the details with line art and finally adding colour.

I refined her facial features and gave her a smoother expression, cleaned up her hair and gave her asymmetrical bangs and made her less "Sage" and more "classy magic lady".

Boy howdy I felt something click right with this one.
