(17) Jacques Louis David was the greatest Neoclassical artist. He moved from the frivolity of the Rococo to a more serious style that reflected the Revolution of his times & research. I like his The Funeral of Patroclus (1778) - it is one of his first classical works

A sleepy doodle of some flavors of Eddie! I not only have too many aesthetics but it's also reflected in my very "segmented" styles.

Ever wonder why oceans are blue? They are blue because red, orange, yellow and green light are absorbed quickly beneath the surface, leaving blue light to be scattered and reflected. More pics: https://t.co/tXaFKFv6NS Happy from our friends at 🌊

Painting and drawing eggs is a great way to hone your grasp of direct and reflected light. In "Old woman selling eggs" (1632), Dutch Golden Age artist Hendrick Bloemaert uses an egg in the subject's hand to reinforce the realism of light cascading across the model's face.
