Some remember Chuck Jones' Tom and Jerry cartoons. But, he was never a fan of the franchise itself.

He only worked on them, just so that MGM would fund money for projects he was interested in. Such as The Dot and the Line, The Bear That Wasn't, and various Dr. Seuss adaptations.

However, in 2014, the game was adapted into a short novel titled "Ushiro: Fukigen na Shinigami" (="The Grumpy God of Death").
In 2015, there were 2 manga adaptations, one being directly adapted from the novel and the other being a new story.
So at least there's that.

The art style of the current Anime adaptations would not be enough to capture how magical the final volumes are. Also Rozemyne is livelier and funnier in the novels compared to the Anime.

No, they don't happen in the Age 1000. The events of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 take place in Age 852, and DBHeroes it's far away in the future! Also, both are adaptations of Online. The most we can see is just The most we'll have from Heroes is certainly the young Mechikabura.
