Sand and snow were definitely something we struggled with too. The tiles went through a lot of iterations and we tweaked the colours lots, but in the end, we decided to let the objects that spawn in those biomes tell the story, such as cacti and snow-covered logs/trees, etc.

Usually don't post those but trying out some new tricks for differentiating biomes and idk it looks kinda nice. Definitely reads more clearly than a messy key.

Day 27 of our Pairtober: Nether AU Sykadel and Draco!
and I have made Minecraft aus in the past with our ocs, and this was a great throwback. Citrus drew Draco (her oc, in the tree) and I drew Sykadel (my oc). Warped forests are very well-designed biomes I must add.
