I've been thinking about my visualisations of birdsong coupled with instinctive mark making onto birds photography. The colours I select either match or contrast its plumage, the shapes cushion/surround the bird protecting it from the white of the paper. I love working this way❤

And today's is one of my personal faves - Brachiosaurus! <3 I chose the nightingale for the coloration because the nightingale has one of the most beautiful birdsongs, and (thanks to Jurassic Park) I always picture Brachiosaurus as singing.
