The konjac plant is native to Yunnan China. The starchy gelatinous foodstuff made from its ground up bulbotubers originate in China and spread to Japan by at least the 6th century. This dish is now widely known by its Japanese name "konnyaku."

Encontré más robots parecidos, pero estos son de los años 20 y 30, yo creo que tiene sentido que en esa época hacían eso por que los bulbos eran de las piezas más importantes para la electrónica, ahorita eso se cambió con circuitos integrados y transistores (obvio más pequeños)
