In Xenoblade Chronicles, Dunban (left) has an ability called Peerless. You may think it's named that to imply he's without equal, but it's actually a reference to the fact that Piers from Golden Sun: The Lost Age and Piers from Pokemon Gen 8 (right) do not appear in Xenoblade.
