1,500 light years from earth is the hearse head and flame nebula, a truly beuatiful part of the sky. I imaged this from my backyard observatory.

The Flame Nebula, or NGC 2024, is a large star-forming region in the constellation Orion. It’s a portion of the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex, which includes such famous nebulae as the Horsehead Nebula and Orion Nebula.

At a mere 1,400 light-years from Earth, the Flame Nebula is a large star-forming region in the constellation Orion. This @NASAHubble image focuses on the dark, dusty heart of the nebula, where a star cluster resides, mostly hidden from view. #Astrophotography #astro #space

@NASAHubble The Flame Nebula, also called NGC 2024, is part of the Orion Molecular Cloud Complex and is found near the Horsehead Nebula.🔥✨🔥
Had fun painting the nebula, I didn't actually plan on making it V but I used him as a pose reference and ended up just using his likeness too! Here are versions minus some of the layers 💜
it is Wizard Nebula, NGC7380, on Cepheus constellation, it is 7.200 LY distance, the pic taken from South Common Observatory, discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1787 https://t.co/OkUDUCbBom

What is this? Maybe a painting?
No! It's abt NGC 2736, or Pencil Nebula, a small part of the Vela Supernova Remnant.
It's thought, in fact, to be formed from part of its shock wave, plowing through interstellar space at over 500,000 km per hour!

Wait, it's #PortfolioDay ! Hi, everyone! I'm neblosinha (as a little nebula, yes). I'm a 28yo newbie artist that started recently to follow her dreams of improving her art skills. Currently focusing on digital watercolor and fantastic aesthetic. Nice to meet you!

The Great Carina Nebula, also known as NGC 3372, is 1 of the largest H II regions located in the heart of Southern Milky Way, in the Carina constellation.
Easily visible to the unaided eye, the nebula is at a distance of 7,500 ly.
