implied child death // the paneling layout and buildup to this scene is done so incredibly well. the way babys face goes from robotic happy smile and turns sour quickly...such a scary moment the way this scene was portrayed exceeded my expectations which were already so high :]

My favorite panels from my 2019 Steven Universe comic

I may suck at paneling but at least I can make good compositions

I dunno, I try to structure mine sorta like manga in terms of paneling and space. Western comics are often congested, feeling... abbreviated. In manga, they'll dedicate entire panels, entire pages to each solitary gesture or expression. It's like reading a storyboard.

The Shakunetsu Takkyuu Musume manga has 50+ page chapters stuffed with dense paneling and impressive art, but the mangaka doesn't even have any assistants. God damn.

Also this art of Hanabi and Hokuto at the start of v3 is really cute.

I like that cus it makes artists get more creative in terms of their paneling

These models part of a batch of my first paid 3d art that I ever did back in 2011-12, and they hold up way better than some of my first environments.

For the paneling I'd actually sketch some polypaint in zbrush, then clean it up in PS.

Dan Jurgens. I don't know why this specific cover, but this is one that often pops into my head when I think of him. Love his storytelling. Great paneling.

The only positives i have really have is the simple artstyle and the paneling. I can easily tell what’s going on and my eyes aren’t bleeding from the artquality.

These small circular portraits are one of the most recognizable paneling flourishes Araki does, they show up constantly

Finished One Week Friends

This was a nice and short read. Wish there were more chapters to continue the story and flesh out the ending but it’s impressive what it does with only 39. Felt very relatable at times and the art and paneling was pleasant to look at.

I finished Pandora Hearts, a great thought out story with amazing plotting, wonderful use of B&W (although at points it tends to be a bit too much), good paneling, excellent character work, well-utilized themes like identity, memory, accepting the past & self-worth. 9-9.5/10

Page 1 vs. page 250!

(Tho the latest drawn page is actually page 409 on Patreon). My comics always become more simplistic the more I work on them bc I'm a lazy bitch lmao, but I feel like I've become better at paneling and making the characters move! https://t.co/ZeMWYEeXvB
