Oliver started out as just a simple recolor of an oshawott made by recoloring bases/linearts and he has had a few redesigns since then (and i learned to draw) and now he is an oshawott/zangoose hybrid.

I'm "guilty" of recoloring classics. Given the chance, I will do it again too. It's okay with me if people hate it. The classic will always still be there. Editorial did ask for a modern take, so that's what I did.

I took some time to test out recoloring Sahirat with watercolor. While I do like it to a degree, I believe the style for suits me the best.

There's something about it that just pops out and gives it kind of a cel-shaded look.

Recoloring comics comes down to one thing.

Dull.

Take something that was visually interesting, and appealing, and then either let some jobber colorist or the original art taps into their inner George Lucas and "improves" the art.
