Self-taught Joris Hoefnagel was a leading 16C Flemish illuminator and pioneer of still lifes. Here’s some of his many superb nature studies ~ tulip, ichneumon fly, kidney & runner beans ■ pomegranate, worm & peach ■ dragonfly, carnation, pear & insect

@Tkacz_art Thanks for the artshare!
My character Elenore (first piece, character on the left) was born with magic. She has also studied it to great lengths, intending to properly utilize and control the abilities that she was born with, rather than it controlling her like many sorcerers.

I like to use the 2B and 6B pencils for more fluid studies, the ability to tilt the pencil for different line widths and textures really helps for that stylized shading. I like to use a 6b pencil for shading because it requires less pressure for darker lines
Going to be sharing my studies this month. Here are my first two!
Congrats to Lizzie Lilley and Lachlan Anthony Smith, joint winners of the David & June Gordon Memorial Trust Award. This is a monetary prize awarded to New Contemporaries who studied at Grays School of Art, Moray College of Art, or whose home address is in the Grampian Region.
Superman vs. Wraith in Unchained a big one that could be studied for how to do fight scenes with Superman well. Large spanning environment changes, Clark using his wide arsenal. Using both brawn and brain https://t.co/RperkLGqGZ
Is it narcissistic to do studies of yourself?🪴📙🍒
