In 2019, I was sitting on the coast of Newfoundland watching icebergs dance with the waves.

With the borders closed (for good reason), it'll be another year until I get to see them again leaving me to keep day dreaming while I make iceberg paintings.

David McEown’s March 20th workshop was focused on Canadian icebergs.

Apart from his immense talent as a painter and teacher David has a positive approach to painting (and life) that made this challenging workshop welcoming and confidence building.

The Mausoleum of the Forgotten.

"On many occasions the curious atmospheric effects enchanted me vastly; these including a strikingly vivid mirage — in which distant bergs became the battlements of unimaginable cosmic castles."
