Lately been catching up on comics and reading more that I never got round to reading!

I have to say Catwoman Vol 3 (2002-2008) is my favourite and preference to the New 52 and Rebirth run. Been reading some Batman too and read the Hush series again.

Alright! I've finished my reread of The Immortal Iron Fist. The Swierczynski/Foreman run was just as great as the Brubaker/Fraction/Aja run, but for different reasons. More thoughts to come, and then I'll dive into Shadowland. But first! A little back-reading... Lady Bullseye!

A lot of this run can be seen as a precursor to Fraction/Aja's Hawkeye, sure, but it's important to note that Brubaker was also working on Captain America and Daredevil at the same time. Captain America also dealt with recontextualising the past with the Winter Soldier storyline.

The two breather issues, with their different artwork and time periods, are an excellent way to break up the two arcs. It's notable that the second of these is where Brubaker leaves the series in Fraction's hands for two issues, before a wholly new creative team would take over.

I'm reading Devil's Red Bride, and I'm realizing that I need more Martial Arts/Samurai/Ninja type comics in my life. TMNT forever, of course. Read Fraction/Brubaker's Iron Fist. Have the deluxe Blade of the Immortal. Throw me some recommendations.

I finished RECKLESS last night. I really enjoyed that. It blended elements of JACK REACHER and THE EQUALISER and gave it all a Brubaker/Phillips twist. It might actually be my favourite of any Brubaker/Phillips comics I've read, apart from MAYBE the very best CRIMINAL stories.

Ed Brubaker did a single issue that basically summarized his Catwoman run, and his & Darwyn Cooke's reinvention of Catwoman.
