I happened to see this Au Ra sitting behind a Roe on their mount and clipping in such a way that it made it look like they were almost sitting on the Roe's shoulders. So I decided to very awkwardly draw it like that. 😅

Initially meant as something out there (the concept is him noclipping between the two worlds)... but I found a way to implement it into a story. Stay tuned (or not) for it.

I put the flat colors first after the lineart with 1 layer for each color, then I duplicate the flat color, make it a clipping mask, and paint the shadows and highlights with a watercolor paint brush. If needed, I blend it with a blend brush or a blur brush too
