Well when I did like it I've a lot of issues with it as well.
It has some really good characters and moments.
And some great arcs.

Like my lord I never seen so much shit takes this often other then TGSmurf. You make great art and shit but man your logic and complaints are beyond stupid.
The fact we talked and I got blocked for a sec because I argued your logic is extremely telling. Think critically please

in a sense, these scenes perfectly set the mood for the rest of the flashback, and while the effect is slightly different than the one from the LN, the anime format kinda requires this dif approach
