Convergent Pokemon are seriously a good idea !
Maybe real hard to think about for the most cases, but this one is good !
Shootyfly isn't as cute as Cutiefly though ... for one reason : it can't do this
[there's no gifs of it in New Snap, but you get it-]

On a more serious note about convergent pokemon, it got me thinking about a pretty obvious one: the similarities between bugs and hummingbirds lol

I thought that convergent pokemon was a thing already

Basically the entirety of Gen V was a trial run at Convergent Evolution lol

It’s not convergent species that’s the issues. The pikaclones are a great example. Their designs are each unique, yet share the classic electric cheeks. All I’m saying is that Wiglett’s design needed more to clearly distinguish itself from Diglett.

Why are y'all complaining about Wiglett when the pikaclones are pretty much convergent species of pikachu.

Seriously does Wiglett really has the same body type? If we only cnahge Diglett's appearence like this and would people still think Wiglett is a convergent species? Is the mysterious way they move actually the key of this subject instead of their body types?

I think Wiglett is adorable. I love the idea of pokemon who gained similar traits through convergent evolution. Can't wait to find out it's types. Probably water or water/ground.

1⃣ It's thought that convergent evolution is the cause of Aronicans looking so similar to humans overall, though this is still heavily debated. Many tend to confuse the two species from time to time, despite Aronicans having ridged noses, reddish skin, and spots on their faces.

Carcinization is an common example of convergent evolution where non-crab crustaceans evolve a wider body and large frontal claws similar to true crabs

In Pokémon lore this is technically convergent evolution

Felt like sharing some fantasy creature mounts for the humanoids of Constellation Draco

First one is the Gnomes and their 'Unicorns', which are really primitive rhinos that followed a convergent evolutionary path to mimic modern horses

Gnomes consider themselves 'true humans'🙄

Guess that RFake among these 4 candidates, guys. And stop using that inappropriate professional terminology, aka convergent evolution, you’d better check its definition, lmao for this term misuse. I said meme mon, meme matches rfake.

Day 2: Wyvern

The common savannah wyvern is a cautious scavenger, notable for its convergent evolution with mundane vultures. Pictured here is a male, identifiable by its iridescent blue wattle and wing membranes.

1⃣ Oddras are the suspiciously otter-like people from the planet Mustellia. Due to their numerous similarities, some believe them to be either the progenitor race to Earth's otter species or the result of convergent evolution between them, though neither theory has been proven.

Little explanation about convergent evolution 🐬🦈
