If anyone is curious, here is a step-by-step how I painted the Emperor of Mankind from 40K. In this case, I paint a bit similar to how a 3D software-engine would render. I start with an underpainting/sketch, and then try to hit a "ambient diffuse" checkpoint before adding light.

Il y avait plusieurs passages forts dans le 1er anime, mais j'espère vraiment que ce remake tapera du poing sur la table et diffusera des messages encore plus frappants, et il a l'air bien parti pour. #tokyomewmew #mewmew_new

Dans le 1er anime, beaucoup voyait la relation IchigoxQuiche comme quelque chose d'acceptable, ce qui ne l'est en fait pas du tout. Quiche nourrit une obsession malsaine pour elle et j'ai hâte de voir comment ils vont tourner ça et la morale qu'ils vont diffuser.

A shader that produces something like this would be Lerp(texture*shadeColor,highlightColor, diffuse) diffuse is the saturated value of your cel shader.
In this case, shadecolor is red and pink at night, highlightColor be red and pale yellow.

So yes... Dorbleys can swim. Very, very well and can hold their breath for hours if they take it slow and well oxygenate beforehand.
