At first glance, this image doesn’t seem like much…until you realize it’s a very, very rare photo of one of the original Disneyland Sleeping Beauty walkthrough attraction dioramas. Very few photographs are known to exist prior to it’s ‘barbie-doll’ update in the 70’s.

As a kid, I was terrified of dioramas & I’ve actually had to work pretty hard to overcome that professionally. But all that visceral fear came back when I walked past this abomination today.

Thankfully, bought it from in 1898 & it hasn’t been back since.
