Still early in this concept, working on custom pieces for the ''Anatomy'' holders and developing the style. I wanted to accent the animal shape more than the human character, but well see where it goes. This piece is one of the first, and not polished 100% but it represents me!

Something I think about a lot is how the art style of the comics has evolved over time. The image on the left is a page from Comic II, "Unhappy Returns," and the image on the right is from Comic VI, "The Naked and the Dead." It went from very sketchy lines to very polished.

Day 47 - 2 Hour Challenge: Draw as much and as polished as you can in two hours!

I was so tired, I forgot to post this yesterday, but I'm honestly so proud that I was able to do this much in two hours. The gains are REAL!

I look for character proportion distortions, correct use of hyphens versus ‘em dash, text alignment, spelling, bubble space, lighting and colour consistency, continuity errors of missing props and accessories, etc.

Here’s the final after following along to the whole tutorial. There’s another video which takes it to an even more polished stage, so maybe I’ll try that out soon too. For now I’m going to attempt to apply the same techniques to an original character of my own!
