I like this because I always wanted to paint characters but could never figure it out. Then I found out I was color blind and that was making it impossible. So I tried just grey scale. This is the closest I ever got to painting and I've never been able to get this close again.

Thank you! I put acetate sheets on the scanner bed and paint as it is passing through.. a bit like action painting on a smaller scale. Then just a bit of adjusting and layering.. some pretty interesting outcomes when the acetate gets moved about, too.

For example, I'm mostly use 20x20 pixel for each box as a scale... and try to sketch first(like for illustrating)
and then remove the scale by replacing the colors and start cleaning the lines u made
and then do the rest such as coloring and shading(probably the basics)

i wonder why tailgate is so nervous- must be that he's used to easy kills with little fleshy organics.

i love the framing with them teeeny in the back, makes it feel like a splash page using less real estate, by conveying scale.

Also you wouldn't believe the amount of ugly saturizing I had to do to get the image to read properly at such a small scale.
