The artstyle usually changes from game to game when it comes to Xenoblade. This is actually a pretty tame change from 2 to 3 relatively speaking, but I definitely like it more than 2's style

While not inspired by anything realistically speaking, it is inspired by various magic (mostly ice) found in fantasy settings.
