Back in January 2014, a new CHIP 'N DALE: RESCUE RANGERS movie was planned for a worldwide theatrical release and was going to be a hybrid movie, like the final film.

The original scrapped version was an origin story for the Rescue Rangers group, and was in the vein of the show.
