Namor openly called out Americans & their actions. He's coded as a biracial poc indigenous man dealing with his white "human" half & atlantean "other" half. He was comics first anti hero & flying superhero. He paved the way for tropes to come & his design has been used by others.

These “homes” were waystations primarily for PoC & marginalized ethnicity kids taken from cities & suburbs, stripped from family for infractions not punished so severely elsewhere. In my area, the Home kids had separate classes in our public school, a last vestige of segregation.

I would never say Namor has more validity than other actual PoC characters, but I've always read his atlantean people as being non white, espically in early 1939/40 comics its repeatedly stated Namor's people are a kind of indigenous/tribal people

LMAO. people still saying Namor is white? The character is the first BIRACIAL character, he is half white (where he gets his skin tone) his mother's people are indigenous/poc coded & he has East Asain coding. Anyways here's panels where it says he is against the white man (1939)
