I had some good relaxation time today to be able to start and read a few books. I just finished “The Magic Fish” by Trung Le Nguyen and oh boy, I am emotional.

Gay Vietnamese boy coming out to his mom using fairy tales? With gorgeous art?

You know I’m gonna cry

When I was a child I kept a series of enthusiastic nature notebooks. I had a Daler art pad of cartridge paper and pencil crayons and made detailed drawings of the birds I saw.
I've just seen a Redwing, so here’s a sketch of one from when I was 13.
Seeing one is still a thrill.

I was that weird kid who'd doodle Spider-man in all his notebooks. Ended up making a career out of it. Not that it matters but this is the Andrew Garfield/Jake Johnson Earth 616 version of the character.

I grew up reading 90's X-men and X-Force mainly. Then stopped reading comics after high-school. Rediscovered comics in the last few years. Loving all Krakoa Era X books. Trying to branch out to other genras of comics. Loving Locke & Key among others. Stray Dogs was also excellent https://t.co/YbDh64O5OZ
