Hands down one of my favorite character archetypes ever in fiction is "man who unabashedly loves his wife more than anything." It's ESPECIALLY great because they come in multiple flavors, such as:
-The Crass Defender
-The Dark Avenger
-The Stoic Admirer
-The Loud Idiot

Cromwell!
After the helmet of bravery was stuck on Cromwell's head he became the most courageous gorilla ever! Charging into danger, this stoic simian gains even greater strength depending on how heroic he's being at the time!

new OC, Beni!!!

she's a borzoi ninja and the girlfriend/protector of my other character, Shanti Shiba.

she tends to always maintain a stoic expression, and doesn't really talk except when necessary.

Early renditions of the character way back in 2012 or something.

He is the stoic leader of the guild, Iron Inquisition.
His titanic frame and immeasurable physical strength, a bastions against the constant threats.

Regardless of the events in Tyria, He stands unwavering.

These two still need names anyway so might as well see your thoughts.
Left is a capricious trickster shapeshifter and right is a serious sweetheart who puts up a cold/stoic face.

Hey I’m an independent watercolor artist exploring the world of digital art on Procreate. I love painting stoic women in fantasy settings, combining my love of costume and nature 🌿

Redrawing my OCs designs, 2017 version this time. She’s a really stoic and prideful/cocky girl who actually overthinks and worries a lot and puts a lot more effort into what shes good at than she wants other people to think.

The Queen and Countess have united their families. But for the women watching over them, the uninhibited Snow Queen and the stoic Spirit Killer, mutual suspicion and anger precipitate an irresistible challenge.
