Heterochromia iridis, having eyes of/with different colors, was once thought to come with the ability to see spirits or communicate with the other side, hence indicating a seer. Older traditions said it was due to a piece of your past life brought into this one.

He's a lil buffer, has various piercings keeps his quills shorter and dyes them to keep him looking separate.
