When this series was announced, I was kind of hoping they'd aim for slightly more realistic character designs. Kind of like the ones used in the MIB cartoon or the 1998 Godzilla cartoon. Ya know, something that would aim for a moderately stylized look? Was hoping more for that.

Same here. I even tried to keep her moderately the same as the original design when I was commissioning an "updated" version for her.
