THE CRIMSON TOWER is a story I started writing in 2013.

Originally it was just supposed to be a fun high fantasy romp but being inspired by film noir, I wondered if I could merge the sword and sorcery with the gritty pulp mystery fiction of the 20s-30s.

it's funny you draw this. Years ago I had another artist commission Asuka feeding Shinji strudel she cooked for him. In this image it's three years after EVA, they are 17 years old now.

That is supposed to be Shinji on the left, but he looks too much like Harry Potter. ;-O

tried csp v2 perceptual blending which is supposed to be a more realistic kinda color mixing but i guess it doesnt work well for my coloring style since i use blur??

Theres only a super small difference like the non muddy and softer edges-

I think it's supposed to be fuller lips (in this art style), but it does look strange.
