(for a art collab for a drawing club at uni) and also an extra accidental multiply layer that looked nice
Another illustration in one hour for my personnal challenge on @Procreate : using only flat colors, lasso tool and a round brush shape with full opacity. No other tool, just normal and multiply fusion mode for layers.
Video process coming soon :)
Progress sharing
1) Line art
2) Color + environment light (multiply)
3) Color dodge
4) Soft light + linear light
Now I am more familiar with this coloring process than before

Entry for @lilys_wonders #drawthisinyourstyle challenge. This time I've set the sketch as a multiply layer and paint over it.

Change and incessant transformation are in the very nature of things. Filled with magic Purple Blastulas grow and multiply, entangling any objects and creatures that are nearby at the moment of division with their tentacles.

just remembered the Dark Ages of my art when I started digitally coloring and didn't realize I could move layers and just layered multiply over my line art
Default shirt, home shirt, tacos shirt, marsupial shirt, and now.... a new shirt...? :D
I tried the color palette challenge... but being me, I overdid it with the multiply and overlay layers. Lel
Hope you guys like it!

Multiply layers are so cool and I can't believe it took me 7 years of art to figure them out.

it blends the specular+diffuse result using via screen, then blends that result with the original texture/colour via multiply. produces a very viable ambient colour lighting.
Here's the final result using diffuse lighting, ambient cubemap lighting, and specular !!
@FurryRengS When I finish my "coloring'n'shading in one". I'm adding small details, like extra shade ( layer set on multiply.) and light (layer set on luminosity) ... and there ya go! my drawing is finished.
Ngl, sometimes lately when I’m drawing I’m like “oh man this looks dull as heck”
It’s mostly from a fear of making the colours too bright and making my art eyebleeding, but I’m starting to incorporate brighter colours! Also I love not using multiply- it’s fun
@flutterdabutter Nope, the colors stayed how they were, I just used a bunch of shading techniques and layer filters. Most common ones I use are multiply, overlay, add, and dodge.
