Ended up not doing anything more with the line art. Tried out 's method of coloring all the lines within the main outline (ended up deciding I want his head and claws to be totally outlined with blue). Love this lad but his pattern is kinda tricky so I never draw him.

Like I've said in the past,
I don't like the artstyle direction the games are taking.
It just feels like no-outline 3D + gradient shading sucks a lot of charm out of every Pokémon/character design.

I wish some day we get a Pokemon game that tries to match the artworks💛
