5) Well here's a pleasant surprise. Tried the same setup in CYCLES. HDRI, no diffuse-- just SSS and spec. I've never really touched it before, but settings were pretty inutitive. After 30 seconds of fiddling w/settings I got this. Longer render though since testing on a CPU mac
